I have a twitter account, but hardly ever use it. I know it is a new protocol, interesting way to find resources, and that is all fine and good, but I’m with cdixon when he makes the case that we shouldn’t hand over the management of a fundamental web service to a “for-profit-gatekeeper”. I agree, and further, think that URL shortening services kill a fundamental piece of UI, which is anchor text. Do I want to follow this link: http://crap.ly/qRx8y…how would I know?
